Privacy Policy
Promucity LLC · Effective October 8, 2026
This policy explains what information the Promucity app (“Promucity”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. Promucity is free to use and does not sell anything inside the app. Questions: promucity@gmail.com.
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address and password (passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see them). If you sign in with Apple or Facebook, we receive your name and email (or Apple’s private relay email) from that service.
- Account type — fan, artist, DJ, venue or promoter.
- Profile information — profile and cover photos, bio, city, music genre, social media usernames or links, music links, and for venues an address, phone number and opening hours.
- Content you post — events (name, date, time, venue, address, flyer images, videos, ticket links, contact email and phone, and the artists or DJs in the lineup), weekly nights, the people you list as “works with”, and for artists and DJs music samples and availability.
- Messages — chats you send, including text, photos, videos and shared locations. Table, VIP and booking requests you send from a profile are delivered as messages too.
- Activity — who you follow, events you save, people you block, reports you send, and announcements promoters send to their followers.
Information collected automatically
- Location — if you allow it, your device’s location while you use the app, to show events and people near you. We store only an approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) with your account, never your exact position, and it is not displayed on your profile.
- Push notification token — a code from Apple that lets us send you message and event alerts if you allow notifications.
- Event statistics — counts of how many times an event is viewed, saved, or its ticket link is tapped. These are stored as totals per event so organizers can see how their events perform; they are not used to build a profile of you.
- Sponsored listing counts — how many times each sponsored listing is shown and tapped, stored as totals only.
- We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
How we use information
- To run the app: create your account, show your profile and events, deliver messages, and send notifications you’ve allowed.
- To show relevant events, artists and venues, including ones near you.
- To give event organizers statistics about their own events.
- To review events before they appear on the main feed, and to show verified badges.
- To keep Promucity safe: review reports, remove content that breaks our rules, and block or remove accounts.
- To answer you when you contact us.
Who can see your information
- Everyone using Promucity can see your public profile (name, photos, bio, city, genre, social links, account type), the events you post, and who you work with. Venue address, phone and hours are public on venue profiles. Event contact details you add are shown on the event.
- Messages are visible only to you and the people in the conversation, plus our moderators when a conversation is reported.
- Your email address, your push notification token, your approximate location and the events you save are not shown to other users. Your email address and push token are stored so that only you (and Promucity, to run the service) can access them.
Sponsored listings
Promucity may show sponsored listings for events, venues or businesses, clearly labeled “Sponsored”. They are chosen by Promucity and shown the same way to everyone; they are not targeted using your personal information, and we do not share your information with sponsors. Sponsors may receive total view and tap counts only.
Service providers we use
We use these companies to run Promucity. They process data only to provide their services to us:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions) — stores your account, content and messages and sends notifications.
- Google Maps Platform (Maps and Places) — shows maps and helps you look up addresses.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and push notifications.
- Meta — Facebook Login, only if you choose to sign in with Facebook. Facebook’s automatic app event logging and advertising ID collection are turned off.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers or sponsors.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account at any time inside the app: open your profile, tap “•••” (on a fan account, “Account & support”) and choose Delete Account. This deletes your login, your profile, the events you posted, your follows, saved events, notifications and conversations, and the photos and videos you uploaded. Deletion can’t be undone.
You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing promucity@gmail.com. Copies may remain in backups for a short time before they are overwritten.
Your choices
- Turn location or notifications off at any time in your iPhone’s Settings.
- Edit or remove profile information and events in the app.
- Block people so they can’t message you and you don’t see their content.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to how it is used. Email promucity@gmail.com and we’ll help.
Children
Promucity is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use Google Firebase’s security features, including encrypted connections. No service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we’ll update this page and the date above, and let you know in the app when appropriate.
